Since 1960, the journey of the Casabianca cannery, based in Biguglia, continues with the third generation, striving to offer you the finest Corsican flavors through artisanal preserves such as Corsican foie gras and traditionally made wild boar terrines.

Michelle and René Casabianca opened their artisanal cannery in 2010, specializing in wild boar terrines and Corsican foie gras. The family business—Conserves Corsica—dates back to 1960 in Pietranera, initiated by the great-grandfather of Michelle Casabianca, and passed down through generations to her grandfather and father.

For the past 14 years, Michelle and René have been working in the production laboratory located in Biguglia, south of Bastia, creating preserves such as wild boar terrines, quail terrines, and duck foie gras, infused with flavors of Cap Corse muscat, myrtle, chestnut, or figs. Notably, all pâtés were replaced with terrines in 2018.

Quality Without Preservatives or Food Binders - RCFM Video

The Casabianca cannery carefully selects its raw materials for their quality, using 100% French-origin meat without preservatives. All animal parts are used to create a natural product, with pork fat providing creaminess, and the thick pork shoulder and fatback enhancing appearance and eliminating the need for food binders.

RCFM visited the cannery's facilities to explore the world of Casabianca, whose flagship products (wild boar terrines, Corsican foie gras) are now available throughout the island, with additional retail points on the mainland.
