Located at 15 Boulevard Général de Gaulle, near the bottom of the famous Place Saint-Nicolas in Bastia, Le Concept Store Mattei has been a historic and iconic landmark of the island's brand for over 150 years.
Housed within these exposed-stone walls with its high ceiling and arcades, the store was designated a “Historic Monument” in 2017, a year that also marked the completion of a comprehensive renovation that preserves the spirit of the past. This store is, in fact, the only one to hold such a designation; it is a must-see in Bastia and is featured in travel guides.

Corsican and International Spirits
The Mattei Concept Store features a selection of wines and spirits from Corsica, France, and many other wine- and spirits-producing countries. Connoisseurs will find not only creations from the L.N. Mattei distillery but also carefully selected whiskies, rums, cognacs, armagnacs, gins, vodkas, champagnes, beers, liqueurs, and brandies, offering a wide range of options to discover new favorites or expand your collection.
Corsican spirits naturally take center stage. The store features the entire Mattei range, including the famous Cap Corse and the Mavela liqueurs made from the island's iconic fruits—myrtle, chestnut, citron, clementine, and limoncellu—as well as more indulgent creations like chocolate liqueur. Campana liqueurs also highlight Corsican citrus fruits through a fresh limoncello and a mandarin liqueur with delicately tart aromas. Connoisseurs can also discover Corsican whiskeys, artisanal gins, brandies, and a wide selection of wines from the island's vineyards.
The wine cellar also takes visitors on a journey through the world's major wine-producing regions. The selected offerings come from Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the United States, Argentina, Chile, South Africa, Lebanon, Armenia, Russia, and Austria, among others. Whiskey enthusiasts will find Scottish, Irish, Japanese, American, French, and Welsh varieties here. Among them, Penderyn Welsh whiskey—crafted at the foot of the Brecon Beacons mountains using a unique distillation process—has established itself as one of the most award-winning single malts in its category. Lovers of peated whiskies will also appreciate the Caol Ila Distillers Edition, whose double maturation achieves a remarkable balance between the smoky notes typical of the Isle of Islay and a rounder finish with hints of dried fruit and citrus.
The selection also includes rums from the Caribbean and the Indian Ocean, cognacs, armagnacs, champagnes, gins, vodkas, and numerous international specialties, allowing you to discover both prestigious brands and lesser-known distilleries.
