The story of a family business
Located in Folelli in the Casinca region, Pratali market gardening was born of the determination of a young Corsican - Jean-Valère Geronimi - who took over the family land, which had been lying fallow for over 15 years. After completing his BTS in Hyères, he set up as an organic farmer, later joined by his brother Jacques-François Geronimi. Today, the team also includes Thomas, who is in charge of cultivation, Antoine, who prepares soups and juices, and Jean-Baptiste, who is in charge of baskets, supplemented by seasonal workers depending on the season.
Pratali consists of around ten hectares, 8 hectares of certified organic market gardening, 4 hectares ofPDO-certified olive trees, and since 2019, 4 hectares of citrus trees, divided into 2 hectares of orange trees, 1.5 hectares of lemon trees and 1,000 m² of Pomelos. Respectful of the ecosystem and the environment, Jean-Valère and Jacques-François focus on quality and organic farming, a challenge that requires constant, daily investment to ensure quality and seasonal produce.
