Souvenir Shop Near Bastia

Purchased in 1999 by Charles and Muriel Vittini, the souvenir shop in the shopping mall of Géant Casino La Rocade in Furiani was completely renovated in the 2000s and renamed A Meria. Affected by the floods at the Géant Casino at the end of November 2016, the store underwent renovations to reopen in the spring of 2017.

The A Meria shop is located next to the cafeteria in the shopping mall. It is open from 9:30 am to 7:30 pm from Monday to Saturday, and offers numerous Corsican souvenir items for the kitchen and decorative purposes:

• Trivets, plates, salad bowls, dishes
• Appetizer trays
• Key rings, wallets
• Plush toys, magnets

You will also find olive wood kitchen spoons, cork jugs and snow globes as well as towels in the colors of Corsica.

Artisanal Corsican Knives

In the right-hand showcase at the entrance of the shop are displayed artisanal Corsican knives crafted by Manu Padovani à Biguglia.

Cosmetics - Corsican Soaps and Perfumes

Major brands of insular cosmetics like ScentSeas or Isula, based on immortelle essential oil, are found in products such as repairing balms, regenerating creams, anti-aging serum elixirs, and also soap from the Nebbiu soap factory and its liquid soap.

Products in the colors of SCB, school supplies, souvenirs

With the Géant Casino being a few hundred meters from the Furiani stadium, the A Meria shop also sports the colors of the Sporting Club of Bastia: SCB scarves, caps, t-shirts, hats, stickers, footballs, bags, as well as derivative products (school bags, notebooks and SCB agendas) and stationery. You will find everything you need before each match - except for football jerseys - the shop being open until 7:30 PM on Saturdays.

Charcuterie - Cheeses - Corsican Wine - Chestnut Flour

A gastronomic section offers you Corsican charcuterie from Loreto di Casinca by Pierre Albertini and sheep and goat cheese from Albertacce in Niolu with A Sulana, from Marie Albertini, from Santucci Perelli d'Alesani or from Balagne at Galeria, with the spicy cheese known as "le Galeria" made by Isabelle, but also chestnut flour.

Ajaccio terrines or olive tapenades can also accompany your aperitifs, as well as Corsican wines from the Orsini estate, Patrimonio (Leccia estate), but also jams and biscuits from A Dulcezza including its almond crunchies.

The A Meria shop also has all sorts of products made in Corsica like jams, Valentini Honey, nougat, products from the Hazelnut Workshop in San Giulano by Charles Sforzini. In condiments, you can find flavored salts, Corsican mustard, olives and artichokes in sauce, chestnut products and candied chestnuts, candied fruits, and Grimaldi chocolates.
