Canyoning at Baracci in Propriano

In the heights of Propriano, an hour and a half from Ajaccio and thirty minutes from Sartène, Cors'aventure invites you to discover the Baracci canyon - named after the river that flows into the Valinco Gulf - stretching from Porto-Pollo to Campomoro Bay.

Accessible from the age of 7, the canyon descent is supervised by state-certified instructors.

This region of Valinco is also known for its spring and thermal spa: the Baracci baths.

Canyon Description

The Baracci canyon will immerse you completely in the river among natural water slides, jumps into the water, abseiling descents, and aquatic walking. You will be fully immersed in the Baracci waterfalls to experience a thrill. It should be noted that no stage is mandatory, and you are free to choose your path.

A positive aspect of this canyon is that it only requires a 5-minute approach walk. The descent lasts approximately 1h30 with 10-meter maximum rappels, natural water slides in the river, and optional jumps (or abseiling descents). The return walk takes about 20 minutes.

Car Access

The access is located 20 minutes from the Total station at the entrance of Propriano, or 11.6km. Take the direction towards Baracci, then after the hamlets of Burgo and Martini, continue for 5 minutes to the parking lot on the right.

Cors'Aventure also offers other equally remarkable sites that will allow you to discover different landscapes, such as the Richiusa canyon in Bocognano, as well as rafting, sea kayaking, hiking, rock climbing, and mountain biking.

State-Certified Instructors - Equipment

You will only need to bring a swimsuit and a pair of sneakers. Cors'Aventure will provide you with a neoprene wetsuit, a helmet, and a harness for a safe descent. If you do not have sneaker-type shoes or tennis shoes, you can rent special canyoning shoes from Cors'Aventure, which provide better grip on the rocks to prevent slipping.

The meeting point is at the parking lot at the canyon starting point (Get there from Google Map). The location and time will be reconfirmed during the booking process.

Group Rates and Prices - Online Booking

Prices are 45 euros per person and decrease for groups ranging from 6 to 12 people. Cors'Aventure offers 3 rotations per day for this canyon, subject to prior booking. Checks and holiday vouchers are accepted.
