On the heights of Propriano, an hour and a half from Ajaccio and thirty minutes from Sartène, Cors'aventure invites you to discover the Baracci canyon - named after the river that flows into the Gulf of Valinco - stretching from Porto-Pollo to the Bay of Campomoro.

Accessible from the age of 7, canyoning is supervised by state-certified instructors.

The Valinco region is also famous for its spring and spa: the Baracci baths.

Canyon description

The Baracci canyon will immerse you in the river, with natural slides, water jumps, abseiling and water walking. You'll be fully immersed in the Baracci waterfalls, so you'll have plenty of thrills. There are no compulsory stages, so you're free to choose your own route.

The good thing about this canyon is that there is only a 5-minute approach walk. The descent takes around 1h30, with abseils of up to 10 metres, natural slides in the river, and optional jumps (or abseiling). The return walk takes around 20 minutes.

Access by car

Access is 20 minutes from the Total petrol station at the entrance to Propriano (11.6km). Follow the signs for Baracci, then after the hamlets of Burgo and Martini, continue for 5 minutes until you reach the car park on the right.

Cors'Aventure offers you other sites that are just as remarkable, and that will allow you to discover other landscapes with the Richiusa canyon in Bocognano, as well as rafting, sea kayaking, hiking, climbing and mountain biking.

State-qualified instructors - equipment

The only equipment you'll need is a swimming costume and a pair of trainers. Cors'Aventure will provide you with a neoprene wetsuit, helmet and harness for a safe descent. If you don't have trainers or tennis shoes, you can hire special canyoning shoes from Cors'Aventure, which give you a better grip on the rocks so you don't slip.

The meeting point is at the car park at the start of the canyon (get there from Google Map). The place and time are reconfirmed at the time of booking.

Group rates and prices - Online booking

Prices are 45 euros per person, with a sliding scale for groups of 6 to 12 people. Cors'Aventure provides 3 rotations per day for this canyon, subject to prior booking. Cheques and holiday vouchers are accepted.
