Situated along the river on a one-hectare garden, Casa Albina features four independent 3-star vacation rentals in a farmhouse built entirely of stone, wood, and wrought iron. An experience steeped in culture and nature

The history of the Casa Albina estate began in 2003 under the leadership of Barbara Andreani, a former nurse and co-founder of the Logis Vert Corse label, and her husband Christian Andreani, president of the San Martinu Corsica Cultural Center, current president of the European network of Saint-Martin Cultural Centers and the driving force behind the Corsican leg of the Saint Martin pilgrimage, “Via Sancti Martini, ” known in Corsica as “Via San Martinu,” from which the annual “Festivale d'Autunnu di a Ruralità” festival stems. Christian Andreani is also a singer and musician in the band Caramusa

Nature integrated into the surroundings

Nature retains its place on the site, which hosts projects ranging from culture to heritage and ecology. The estate is located on the edge of the vineyard and the village of Patrimonio; continue past the post office and then the Church of San Martinu, 1.5 km from the village center, 4 km from the beaches, and 5 km from Saint-Florent.

One hectare of enclosed parkland bordered by the river

The site is secluded on one hectare of wooded, flower-filled grounds, featuring a permaculture vegetable garden and a chicken coop.

Below, the property is bordered by the river that shares Albinu's name, spanned by its Genoese bridge. The river is accessible directly from the estate through a gate, or via another gate leading to the Genoese bridge.

It's a philosophy of life that Barbara and Christian love to share with their guests: the art of living sustainably, enjoying the peace and nature of these surroundings that invite both exploration and leisurely strolls—whether in deck chairs basking in the sun or in the shade of a few centuries-old trees.

Four independent vacation rentals (with Wi-Fi)

The Casa Albina estate features 4 independent vacation rentals, two of which are accessible to guests with limited mobility. Each offers a view of the landscape from every window. One of them has three furnished terraces.

The accommodations are divided into: two one-bedroom units, Acetula and Levente, measuring 34 and 37 m², a three-bedroom unit (Regina) measuring 54 m², and the Ponente house, a four-bedroom unit measuring 74 m², for a total 3-star capacity of 14 people, plus a spacious 17 m² annex bedroom.

The Casa Albina rentals are equipped with a washing machine, television, and fully equipped kitchens with a refrigerator/freezer. They have been renovated to preserve the historic character of the property, featuring thick stone walls and wrought-iron pergolas that maintain a comfortable temperature year-round.

Casa Albina also offers, for an additional fee, a local breakfast featuring seasonal farm products from the orchard, garden, or nearby farms, as well as homemade specialties. If you wish, meals can be delivered to your cottage, and you can participate in a Corsican evening for groups of 14 or more.

Mountain Bike Rental

If you enjoy cycling, you can take advantage of several mountain bikes provided free of charge, as well as electric bikes available for rent with a deposit.

SoulPhilosophy Days at the Casa Albina estate

Starting in early May, every Saturday, Line—a certified philosophy teacher and coach trained at the Co-Active Training Institute—will lead SoulPhilosophy Days at Casa Albina, inspired by Greek philosophy. These workshops, held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., connect body, mind, and nature through moments of reflection, discussion, and outdoor experiences in a setting conducive to rejuvenation. Price: €40. Harmony with Nature

At the estate, ecology is not just a passing fad but the result of an early realization of the need to change our way of life and live in harmony with nature.

The choice of exposed stone walls, a solar-powered gate, plants and trees everywhere—even in the walkways—as well as a chicken coop and a permaculture garden that minimizes human intervention and allows for greater production with fewer resources through natural techniques such as mulching, plant companion planting, and composting to nourish the soil.

Here, we also prioritize upcycling to give objects and furniture a second life, all in harmony. These are all simple best practices that are easy to implement and contribute to the uniqueness of the place.

Hiking trails

Nearby, you can hike the coastal trail all the way to the Olzo campground, or the heritage trail that starts below the Church of San Martinu. Barbara can provide you with more details about these excursions in the region.

Agora Casa Albina: Multipurpose Space Rental

Renovated in 2020 from one of the wrought-iron pergolas in accordance with circular economy principles, “L'Agora” is a covered space that will eventually become an energy-neutral bioclimatic veranda. “L'Agora” can host meetings, seminars, or any other event. With a surface area of 50 m², this space—which blends modern and traditional architecture—is equipped with a wood-fired oven and a large barbecue (with an adjoining kitchen, refrigerator, and freezer). Its framework was designed using original wrought iron, covered with lariciu pine and zinc, and insulated with cellular cotton wool; these materials, along with its architecture, will allow light to enter and heat to be captured in winter, while providing natural cooling in summer.

“L'Agora” can be rented with or without the kitchen, by the evening, day, or week (when the entire estate is booked privately), or by the month, depending on availability.
