U Spurtellu: Corsican grocery and artisan bread in Patrimonio

U Spurtellu - the basket - is located on the Patrimonio plain, 20 meters to the left after the roundabout heading towards Cap Corse, at the crossroads between Saint-Florent and Patrimonio. Parking is available in a small parking lot next to the store.
Open year-round, 7/7 from 7:30am to 8:00pm, Sylvie and Christophe Amadei select Corsican products, some of which Christophe brings directly from the producer, with new items such as Corsican Soup à l'usu Mattei.
General food
You'll find everything you need for your kitchen: butter, flour, cheese, yoghurt, cereals, sodas, pasta, preserves, milk, Corsican olive oil, aromatic herbs from the maquis, spices, condiments, mineral water and souvenir gifts featuring Corsica, as well as postcards and natural Corsican washing powder.
Boulangerie Zia Ghjulella - Old-fashioned Corsican bread in Patrimonio
The Patrimonio grocery store bakes its own bread, which is supplied pre-baked by the Zia Ghjulella bakery in Folelli every day, and offers bread as well as pastries and Corsican specialties:
- migliacci, herb pastry, brocciu panette.
- Pain Corse (boule), Pain aux céréales, Pain de campagne, Pain aux olives
- Chocolate bread, croissants
You'll appreciate the texture and freshness of old-fashioned kneaded bread that keeps for a long time, and is very tasty, even when bought from Saint-Florent.
Renowned for its high-quality breads, Zia Ghjulella also supplies other grocery stores and stores in the Nebbiu, Balagne and Cap Corse regions.

The wine and beverages department showcases Corsican terroirs through a rigorous selection of exceptional vintages and artisanal products. The wines on offer vary according to season and vintage, in line with local harvests, particularly in the Patrimonio PDO.
Depending on the time of year, you'll find :
- light, fruity Corsican rosés, perfect for summer,
- full-bodied, elegant reds for autumn evenings,
- sweet muscats to enjoy at the end of a meal,
- and a selection of fresh whites made from Vermentinu or Biancu Gentile grapes.

Sylvie explains the difference between a farmhouse product, which is made from the farm to the finished product, and an artisanal product, which only involves processing.
Corsican charcuterie naturally has its own section, with coppa, lonzu, sausage and figatellu in season, as well as artisan pâtés and Corsican terrines from the Casabianca cannery. In summer, U Spurtellu also roasts every lunchtime, and sells ice cubes.
Canistrelli, Frappe, Confitures - Corsican products to take home
On the sweet side, u Spurtellu's shelves are filled with canistrelli, AOP Corsican honey and Emma's home-made jams. In confectionery, Sylvie and Christophe have selected Cervione hazelnut Nuci d'Amore in various flavors: hazelnut powder, orange, cinnamon, praline, cocoa, and Aline's chocolates.
Corsican products suitable for transport
Corsican cookies, canistrelli, frappe, honey, jams, spirits, wines, or charcuterie (sausages, coppe, lonzi) will be the most suitable products for transport, and appreciated to take home, to offer as a gift or to please yourself.
