Overlooking the fishing port, Le Vieux Moulin is the only 3-star hotel in Centuri, Corsica: 18 air-conditioned rooms, two hot tubs, private parking, and a restaurant serving fresh lobster.

A family-run business since 1961, the restaurant has also become a 3-star hotel. The establishment is housed in a large building dating from 1860, typical of the so-called “American” Corsican houses found throughout Cap Corse. Le Vieux Moulin is open from February 15 to November 1.

Accessible to people with limited mobility

The hotel features 18 spacious rooms averaging about 25 square meters, including 2 rooms accessible to guests with disabilities. All rooms are air-conditioned and equipped with a king-size bed, television, and a bathroom with a bathtub, some of which also have a shower. A balcony offers a sweeping view of the fishing port of Centuri and the village.

Comfortable and pleasant, the rooms also feature Wi-Fi internet access, as do the two suites—the André Suite and the Josette Suite—as well as an annex with one room offering a sea view and another room on the garden level. A large parking lot at the foot of the hotel allows you to park as close as possible to the hotel in a village with narrow, pedestrian-friendly streets. The menu at Le Vieux Moulin features a menu naturally inspired by the sea: fish, shellfish, seafood, Centuri lobster, as well as several Corsican specialties. The restaurant has an indoor dining room and a large shaded terrace with a sweeping view of the Port of Centuri.

Taste the Centuri Lobster

Le Vieux Moulin is one of the places where you can enjoy the famous Centuri lobster, the gastronomic emblem of Cap Corse. Depending on the local catch, it is served grilled by weight or featured in one of the house specialties: lobster pasta.

Caught in the waters off Cap Corse, Centuri lobster is renowned for its delicate meat. The restaurant also serves other locally caught fish depending on the season and what's available at the port.

Seafood lovers will also find whole fish prepared Mediterranean-style, grilled fillets, cuttlefish, king prawns, and other specialties inspired by Corsican culinary traditions on the menu.

The menu varies depending on the day's catch from local fishermen: lobster pasta, swordfish or liche carpaccio, fried mussels marinière, beef carpaccio, and sea urchins.

You'll also be invited to try the daily specials based on the catch (sea bream, capon, etc.), such as lemon and pink peppercorn tuna tartare, or paccheri with cuttlefish and smoked fish.

Report on Le Vieux Moulin on France 3 Corse Via Stella

Recently, in the spring of 2026, the Hôtel Restaurant du Vieux Moulin attracted the cameras of France 3 Corse for the program “Mon grain de sel,” hosted by Marina Raibaldi.

It was an opportunity to introduce Marie-Pierre and Olivier Alessandrini, siblings who together create the restaurant's menus using family recipes that always feature seafood—but not exclusively.

A family business that has stood the test of time, preserving the reputation of this historic 19th-century establishment.
