Wood-fired pizza - Corsican wheat flour
Open every evening except Sunday, A Bastella is located just off the RN 193 in a prefab building that looks like a pizza truck but isn't, 1km before the Casamozza roundabout. Since 2010, Franck Meschini has been working with Alalia Corsican wheat flour, as well as doughnuts and drinks, every evening from Monday to Saturday.
Pizza remains the main order, generously topped with ingredients whose quality and freshness are immediately apparent in the taste. A Bastella selects fresh seasonal and regional produce, sometimes coming directly from Franck's garden (zucchini, basil, bay leaves, tomatoes, eggplants, etc.), whose menu and daily pizza vary according to seasonal produce and fish arrivals.
The sourdough dough - like the pizza dough - is made with Corsican wheat flour from Aleria.
Vegetarian pizza: You have four choices
Our vegetarian pizzas include Parmesan, Marguerite, Mozzarella and the aptly named Vegetarian with seasonal vegetables. You can also specify to remove an ingredient from a pizza if you're intolerant to it.
Takeaway grills, Friday and Saturday evenings

Enjoy wood-grilled ribs, sausages or chicken drumsticks wrapped in pizza dough, served with potatoes. Every Friday and Saturday night, reservations required.

The ingredients used for the pizze are selected for their proximity and quality, day by day. Frank doesn't hesitate to change the ingredients, depending on the Corsican cheese, charcuterie or any other product that a producer suggests, giving each pizza and bastella new flavors.
A pizza of the day is featured daily. On Friday evenings, we incorporate fresh fish from the local catch.
Preparation from 2pm to 6pm
When it comes to pizza, Franck does it all: pizza dough, tomato sauce, spice sauces, preparation of toppings. A job that starts every day at 2pm, so that everything is ready in the evening with the wood-fired oven.
This non-stop work makes pizza delivery difficult, but customers enjoy taking it away, with the option of sitting on the small terrace with chairs and tables if you don't live nearby, or simply enjoying a convivial moment.

With over 30 years' experience in the catering trade, the manager of A Bastella appreciates the warmth and simplicity of contact, and is also interested in oenology.
