Campo Pass in Lucciana
From Casamozza to Campo Pass
Trail Features
The dirt trail is unobstructed yet rather exposed with limited shade. However, this open terrain affords stunning panoramic views throughout the hike. The trail is also suitable for mountain biking, albeit with a 450-meter elevation gain, or even for motocross.
The Ascent
The climb is undertaken in a single stretch via a steady and at times challenging ascent to Campo Pass. You will scale a mountainous ridge that offers spectacular views over the village of Lucciana, the surrounding plain, and the sea. An ideal opportunity to capture photographs or simply relish the landscape.
The path may be exposed to the elements; avoid thunderstorms. In fair weather, make sure to protect yourself adequately from the sun and carry sufficient water. The lack of shade can make the hike more challenging in hot conditions.
The Return
After reaching Campo Pass, the trail only descends back to Casamozza, giving you another opportunity to appreciate the breathtaking views you may have missed on the way up.
